The world’s first autonomous outdoor quadcopter flock
As a result of an ERC Advanced Grant on Collective Motion lead by Tamás Vicsek, in 2014 we were the first group worldwide to present a flock of 10 outdoor quadcopters that were autonomous in the sense that they needed no human intervention or pilot interaction, they communicated and self-organized to complete missions like formations flights or collective target tracking.
